MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT GUIDING SCRIPTURE
Drama To share the gospel message through dramatic presentations by Cornerstone members and/or other drama groups. I Corinthians 9:22-23 I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. "Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.
Family Life To celebrate the achievements and milestones in the lives of individuals within the church body, and to nurture a positive church family atmosphere. Galatians 6:10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Greeters To motivate and extend to individuals a desire and warm personal greeting as they enter the church in hopes that they would want to come again. 2 Corinthians 13:12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. Back to top
Music Ministry To motivate, uplift, and minister to the Cornerstone congregation through song by singing a variety of traditional, gospel, anthems, spirituals, and contemporary music. Ephesians 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord...
Newness of Life To assist members joining the church and others in the bible base doctrine of: salvation, faith, baptism, and communion. To help them in learning about the Christian life, the responsibilities and privileges of Cornerstone members hopefully creating Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Parents, Infants & Toddlers To provide care for infants and toddlers during Cornerstone’s Church School and worship services. Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Ushers (Youth) To provide for orderly seating and movement of persons at the appropriate times during services. Psalm 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Back to top

MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT GUIDING SCRIPTURE
Audio Visual To provide cassette tapes and videotapes of Cornerstone worship services and other programs or activities. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Christian Education To provide Cornerstone with biblically sound, Christian education through weekly bible classes, ongoing seminars and workshops for the purpose of (1) making disciples, (2) increasing personal spiritual growth, and (3) glorifying God through our worship, service, and life. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Back to top
Deacon Board To support, assist, and advise the Pastor in promoting the unity, harmony, and progress of the church through our study, service, and sharing of God's hold and divine words with the membership Acts 6:3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business
Deaconess To assist the Board of Deacons in meeting the needs of the Cornerstone membership and to provide the essential components of communion, baptism, and special services as needed. Romans 16:1 I commend to you Phoebe our sister...
Ephesians To foster the biblical principle of care and support of the pastor as exemplified by churches under the leadership of the Apostle Paul; to provide appropriate programs, celebrations, and amenities to uplift the pastor and his family through the coordination of the pastoral anniversary. wedding anniversary, birth recognitions, and Christmas sharing. I Timothy 5;17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
Flowers/Decorations To adorn and enhance the physical structure of Cornerstone so that all will see the beauty of God in our surroundings. Psalm 84:1 How lovely is Your tabernacle, 0 Low of hosts!

Kitchen To provide and prepare food and refreshments for members and visitors as the occasion demands. Psalm 23:5 You prepare a table before me.
Macedonians A spiritual ministry dedicated to showing the love of the church for its members and community; a ministry committed to supporting the church family and friends of the church during times of joy and of sorrow through home visits, telephone calls, food baskets, flowers and cards; a ministry devoted to keeping all members prayerful at all times; and most importantly a ministry whose purpose is to let all know that we are one in Jesus Christ. Acts f6:9-10 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." 1 0 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.
Men’s Fellowship (The Brotherhood) To address the spiritual, social, family, and church areas of ministry following the biblical responsibilities for men. Proverbs 27: l 7 res iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Ministry of History To provide an historic, written and pictorial display of the Pastor, church officers, members, activities, programs and events of Cornerstone. To display or make available upon request the pictures relating to a particular ministry for their own display or ministry fair presentation. Psalm 78:35 Then they remembered that God was their rock

Prayer To encourage all members of the church to be involved in daily synchronized and unified prayer, using the Prayer Calendar as a tool for daily scripture reading, meditation, intercessory prayer and praise reports that encourage others in and out the church. Senior Citizens (ELITE) To provide spiritual guidance and support to persons within Cornerstone as well as the community; through the guidance of the Holy Spirit to offer our many gifts - such as teaching, mentoring, parenting, administration skills - to enhance the spiritual growth to those in need of God’s assurance and comfort. Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. Back to top
Trustee Board To spiritually and prayerfully manage Cornerstone’s financial affairs, maintain its properties, and support all its activities. l Corinthians 4:1-2 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT GUIDING SCRIPTURE
Community Concerns To reach people for Christ within and outside the church community. To take an active role in addressing issues of concern through social educational and spiritual program or activities. Luke 10:36-37 "So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?"37 And he said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."
Couples To provide a Christian environment to dating, engaged, or married couples for encouragement, strength, and support of each other through regular fellowship. Song of Solomon 5:16 This is my beloved, And this is my friend, Back to top
Crisis Intervention To assist Cornerstone members and members of the surrounding communities in time of crisis with basic supplies, clothing, food, fuel, and financial aid based on need Matthew 25:35-36 ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;36 ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Evangelism To strengthen our faith whereby we can be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ. To develop a life style so that others will be drawn to Christ through us. To teach others to be effective witnesses so that the love of God can be known throughout the world Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’ Back to top

Hagar Ministry To provide spiritual nurturing and mentoring to teen mothers and their children living in Siena Hall, a group home for teen mothers sponsored by Catholic Charities.  
In Touch To provide 'In Touch" communication for those who for some reason have been absent from church by offering "in touch" support through calls, visits, written and oral contacts for the purpose of keeping the body of the church united in Christ and growing spiritually. Luke 15:3-6 So He spoke this parable to them, saying:4 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?5 "And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.6 "And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ Back to top

Ministry of Dorcus To show compassion to those less fortunate than ourselves by providing fellowship and a simple meal on a regular basis. To provide an evening meal for the residents of the Saints Andrew & Matthew Shelter on the 4" Sat. of each month in October through April; to recruit individual Cornerstone members as well as ministries to participate. Matthew 25:35-36 ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;36 ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'Back to top
